Ribbon bar has the one straight pin. This is one of the zinc ribbon bar backs. I believe it dates to 1943.
During the war in 1943 they took the brass out of everything for the war effort. The also took the brass/copper out of the US one cent coins that year and gave us the 1943 dated steel cents.
